Our new 1920 Curtiss Oriole biplane is a scratch-built project that is about 2/3rds complete. The composite wood monocoque fusalage is done, and now the wings are being assembled. If you are familiar with wood and fabric aircraft construction, HELP!
We plan to have the new Oriole completed for a grand roll-out at the 75th anniversary celebration in September of '95.Right-side view 629x377 185k .gif
This photo is of the first Oriole reconstruction done by members of the Twin Cities Air Guard unit in 1970 for the 50th anniversary of the Air Guard. Unfortunately, this aircraft was destroyed in a crash.
